Finish Thompson Pump Selector
Project Information
Finish Thompson, an Erie, Pa based manufacturer, is a growing supplier of fluid transfer pumps and recycling systems for the fluid handling and environmental markets. They’ve proven to be highly intuitive in projecting and reacting to changing market demands.
Finish Thompson was searching for an interactive, online tool that allowed viewers to build a quote for a centrifugal or drum pump. The goal of the tool was to offer viewers the ability to search their full collection of pumps to find products that most closely meet their requirements. Once the viewer fills in all their requirements, the tool would calculate a cost estimate based on their needs.
Due to their experience building custom applications and working with manufacturing companies, fh group was contracted to build the Finish Thompson Pump Selector. The Pump Selector asks users a series of questions based on whether they’re quoting out a centrifugal or drum pump. They’re asked to choose the characteristics of their pump through a series of dropdowns, which eventually guides them all the way to an estimate for their pump.
fh group approach:
- Build the pump selector directly in to the Finish Thompson website, in order to maintain continuity and branding.
- Use the data sheets offered by FTI as a guide to create the pump selector frame by frame.
- Ensure a quick, accurate experience for potential customers that works every single time without fail.
Results:
Finish Thompson’s Pump Selector launched as a one-of-a-kind application in a large, competitive industry. It gives them a unique edge over their competition, while making it easier for them to convert more leads into actual customers on their website.
